United Airlines — Chief Trash Officer

Planes can fly on trash. It's called sustainable aviation fuel, and it's the fastest way to cut aviation emissions—but it's so complex to explain that nobody knew it existed. Which meant nobody was investing in it. So United hired the only muppet qualified to talk trash: Oscar the Grouch.

He reached 165M flyers and drew $220M into the United Airlines SAF Fund. Enough fuel to fly the entire fleet for a year.
